When you think of a neighborhood, community-oriented cafe, this is the shining example. Ula Cafe has lots of seating, homey art and pictures lining brick walls, and a vibe that is so comfy and lovely. Not to mention the scones which are just as good if not better than the other reviews claim! I’ve had lots of earl grey scones, but none as flavorful as this one, I could actually taste the tea and lavender strongly! The coffee was also great, at reasonable prices too. If you want a good place to study, do work, and have a phenomenal scone, Ula is the spot!

I adore Ula—their banana bread is the ulatamite treat, the staff is always so friendly, and they double as a gallery space for local artists. When I lost my credit card not only did they keep it safe for me; they also reached out to me via Facebook to return it! Thank you for being a precious community space.

Went to pick up some breakfast for my family and chatted with the sweetest employee! I tried some of the iced coffee black (which was delicious) and had a great vegan breakfast burrito, which was honestly better than the regular one. Scones were great as well and not too sweet. Definitely check out if you’re in the area. (Pictures are of the food at my Airbnb not the cafe lol)

'Wow. I feel like they really went above and beyond.' 'I know this is supposed to be just a coffee shop, but their food is amazing!' 'Where did you find this place? Everything about this place is awesome.' Those were just some of the comments we received from our guests at the after-hours baby shower we hosted at Ula. From our very first contact, to the minute we walked out the door - the people, the food, the space, the art on the walls - everything about Ula says, 'You are welcome here and we want you to know you are valued.' The house-made lavender & rose syrups were delicious, the lattes were lovely, and their tea was brewed perfectly. The salads, sandwiches, and cookies were PERFECT. Michael was just the best human to work with and I am so thankful that they exist!

I make a trip to Boston once or twice a year and I always go to Jamaica Plain and hit Ula Cafe for breakfast and or lunch. The staff is always cheery and welcoming. The cafe is black owned, locally owned and woman owned and very community driven. The food is always delicious and fresh and the iced matcha is delicious.

So so good, everything labeled 'community favorite' (b sandwich, blueberry scone, etc) will seriously rock your world, and they add new stuff to the menu too that is amazing. A great local spot with a strong commitment to ethics and community and the kindest, most competent employees. Post up with a chai tea and a book for the morning and feel like you live in a quaint small town in a romance novel

Fun! Had Earl grey tea latte, and earl grey scone, breakfast burrito, and a chocolate cookie! Yummy. Was pretty busy- no where to sit even if I wanted to. Great service and really nice staff despite it being busy.

Nice little place. Turkey club was good. My 'friend' got the Vegan roasted veggie sandwich (pictured) which she she said was good. Food seemed really healthy so that's a big plus. 2 sandwiches a bag of chips and a bottle of coke for 30... sadly pretty close to normal these days but still seemed steep. Over 3 for a soda and over 3 for a small bag of chips. Seating is uncomfortable. Was pretty loud inside... Didn't love it but it's not my normal scene. I could see lots of people loving the place though. All that said it's a pretty nice place with a fairly small menu which indicates to me they can keep the food fresh. They have tons of options for drinks but that wasn't why we went there so don't know how good they are but I assume they are good. They have both vegetarian and vegan options so that's a plus.
